Welcome to Selah. We are dedicated to providing a secure, intentional, and transformative space for your spiritual discipline. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Selah mobile application and its associated services. By creating an account or using Selah, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. The Selah Mission & Services
Selah is designed to bridge the gap between individual devotion and community support through data-driven spiritual insights. Our core services include:
  • The Prayer House (Community Intercession): Private, encrypted digital spaces where users can share real-time prayer requests within trusted groups. Features include “Amen” notifications and collective support tracking.
  • The Personal Prayer Tracker (Private Growth): A tool that quantifies your spiritual journey. It tracks prayer streaks (The Candle of Faith) and session durations to help you visualize consistency and identify areas for spiritual growth.
2. Continuous Evolution & Updates
Selah is a living platform. We are committed to constantly improving the user experience.
  • Future Updates: We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features (such as advanced analytics, community dashboards, or new UI elements) at any time to enhance the App’s value.
  • Notice of Material Changes: While minor updates may occur seamlessly, significant changes to core functionality or these Terms will be notified via in-app alerts or email.
3. User Eligibility & Capacity
You must be at least 12 years old to use Selah. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. Acceptable Use & the “Sanctuary” Standard
Selah is engineered to be a distraction-free sanctuary. To maintain this environment, you agree to:
  • Spiritual Focus: Use Prayer Rooms and public feeds for prayer requests, testimonies, and spiritual encouragement. Off-topic content, commercial solicitation, or “spam” is strictly prohibited.
  • Respectful Community: Any content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or religiously/racially offensive will result in immediate account termination.
  • Anonymity Integrity: You must respect the privacy settings of other users. Disclosing a user’s private prayer request outside of the Selah ecosystem is a breach of these Terms.
5. User Content & Data Privacy
  • Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of your prayers and testimonies.
  • Privacy-by-Design: Your personal tracking data (streaks, time distribution) is private by default. Selah analyzes this data solely to provide you with personalized insights.
  • License Grant: You grant Selah a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and process your content solely to deliver the App’s features (e.g., generating your weekly Prayer Summary). We do not sell your prayer data to third parties.
6. Intellectual Property
All proprietary elements, including the Selah brand, the Prayer Tracker algorithms, and the visual design (The Candle of Faith, etc.), are the exclusive property of Selah Co. LLC. Unauthorized reproduction or “reverse engineering” of our tracking methodology is prohibited.
7. Subscriptions & Mission Pledge
  • Premium Features: Access to deep-dive analytics and expanded Prayer House capacity may require a subscription. Payments are managed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Mission Commitment: In alignment with our founding vision, Selah Co. LLC pledges to designate a portion of all subscription revenue to global missions and charitable causes.
8. Account Termination & Deletion
You may terminate your Selah account at any time directly from within the app.
  • In-App Deletion: Navigate to Profile → Account Management → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. All personal data (prayers, reflections, profile, subscription records, device tokens) is permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
  • Data Export Before Deletion: You may export your complete data in JSON format via Profile → Export My Data before terminating your account.
  • Subscriptions: Active subscriptions are cancelled automatically upon account deletion; refunds for pre-paid periods are governed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies.
  • Termination by Selah: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (e.g., abusive content, impersonation, or circumvention of Prayer House privacy). Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure the violation.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
  • “As Is” Basis: Selah is provided without warranties of any kind. While we strive for 100% uptime, we are not liable for temporary service interruptions.
  • Not Professional Advice: Selah is a tool for spiritual discipline. It is not a substitute for professional mental health counseling or medical advice.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Georgia. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted exclusively in the courts located in Georgia, USA.
